MACRO Industries, a leading aerospace and defense composites company, is currently seeking a Quality Control Inspector in Huntsville, Alabama. The successful candidate will perform inspections and ensure compliance with requirements. The ideal candidate will have prior quality inspection experience and be detail oriented.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform product, in-process, and final inspections.
• Responsible for logging and maintaining all inspection records prioritizing multiple programs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
• Collect and organize certificates of conformance, test reports, and other compliance documents.
• Manage receiving inspections and entering data in inventory software.
• Prepare and manage tracking on outgoing shipments to processors and customers.
• Assist with managing calibrated equipment.
• Prepare and maintain test data.
• Provide support for and collaborate with other departments.
• Identify areas of improvement and implement new methods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements and Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Familiar with AS9100/ISO 9001:2015 Quality Systems
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Understands tolerances and deviations.
• Ability to use calipers and other inspection equipment.
• Understands various mathematical concepts including fractions, rations, & proportions.
• Continuous improvement oriented.
• Ability to work well independently and with a team.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for 5 hours a day.
MACRO currently operates a single 8-hour daytime shift 5 days a week in a climate-controlled environment.
